Dale and I have been having some trouble with the kitchen sink not draining well. We got a plumber over here today who sent a 50 foot electric snake down the pipes and couldn't get to whatever is blocking it. It actually made it worse as it probably pushed more gunk down to block it even more. Now it's not draining at all. It's nothing the plumber could have avoided. It had to be done. Anyway, we've got a plumber specialist coming over on Monday. After all the drama Dale and I decided to go to Patrick's Bakery at Bachman's and we each got a bistro salad. We get these from time to time and they're quite good. They've got lettuce, shredded chicken, feta cheese, walnuts, craisins, and it's topped with a raspberry vinaigrette dressing. We got cookies for dessert. Dale's was chocolate chip but I got a butter cookie with orange and green frosting.
After we ate we picked up a few more mums. Dale went on a bike ride so I nuked some left over coffee from this morning and took it outside to have with a cigar.
After my cigar I did some yard work involving cutting back lots of foliage. I also potted the new mums (top).
Above are the pumpkins I'm collecting for Halloween night.
When Dale got home from his bike ride we headed to Lunds to pick up dinner makings and another white pumpkin. We're having frozen pizza by the way.
Took a little walk when we got home from Lunds. When I got back to the house I noticed the neighbor's back yard tree across the alley. This is one of the earliest trees to start turning color in the neighborhood and it turns pretty fast. It's also the first tree to loose all its leaves.
