I'm not really counting down but I think the above graphic is pretty cute and I do love Peanuts.
Displays are popping up around the neighborhood. This one is new this year.
Last night we had Warren and Gary over and watched Beetlejuice. I don't think I've seen it since it first came out 30 years ago in 1988. Dale and Gary had never seen it. I think it's held up pretty well and I loved it just as much this time as I did three decades ago. Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin play a young couple living in their Connecticut dream house who, unbeknownst to them, perish in a car accident and don't discover they're ghosts until they find their way back home. Winona Ryder plays a goth outsider that can only see the recently deceased in her family's new house due to her obsession with death. Her parents (awesomely played by Jeffrey Jones and Catherine O'Hara) aren't the least bit frightened by the ghosts and would actually like to make money off of them (how 80s). Michael Keaton shows up as the title character to cause trouble. Mayhem ensues. Cameos by Dick Cavett, Robert Goulet, and Sylvia Sidney are icing on the cake of this classic albeit quirky haunted house/ghost story.
