Hard to believe October has begun.
However the signs of the season are beginning to appear.
On Friday I told the kids at school that when we come back after the weekend it will be October. As soon as I said it at least five of them squealed, "Halloweeeeeeeeeen!" I made it very clear to them that Halloween is still one WHOLE month away.
Another reason to find it hard to believe it's October is the temperature. I've heard the thermometer hit 91 today and it was really humid. In fact, the Twin Cities Marathon was cancelled due to the extreme conditions.
I sat outside in the shade with a cigar. I thought it was pleasant but I wouldn't have wanted to run in it one block let alone a marathon.
Listened to Orville while siting with my cigar in the back yard. Speaking of, I should probably come up with a different costume this year.
