Halloween Approacheth 2021 - This Week In October

Unseasonably warm weather this month is keeping it from feeling like October but that's not stopping it from looking like October. 

So far this month we've had lots of sunny weather. Some leaves are starting to turn color but due to the drought I don't think they'll be as brilliant as they were last year. 

Some trees are having a little more success than others.

Highs have been in the 70s and on some days even pushing 80.

It's been perfect weather for sitting in the back yard with a cigar...

And sometimes even a cocktail...

Today was the first day it actually felt like fall. It was about 67 degrees when I took the above selfie. It was very windy which made it cool enough for my leather jacket. I also put on jeans which is the first time I've worn them since late spring/early summer. 

By the way, tonight was our first pumpkin pie of the season.
