The Bride of Frankenstein was on TCM while Dale was making dinner and I was passing out candy.
We took short breaks from our duties to watch the movie.
My gosh it's a hoot. Really, one of my favorite movies for this time of year.
I'm gonna guess we had about 18 kids. This was a few more than the last time we did this.
Shut down the candy passing operation about 7:15 when dinner was just about ready. Dale made a chicken pot pie which was delicious.
We watched Night of the Demon on TCM while eating. I caught part of it during a previous Halloween season and have read the short story by M.R. James on which it's based. This is the first time I've seen the whole thing and Dale's never seen it before. We both really enjoyed it. The story involves a nasty curse, a demon, and a satanic cult. What more could you ask for on Halloween?
All in all a really great day.
