I blogged about this recording almost a couple of years ago. Sam, Pete, and I had this album as kids. I found the above picture online recently. It's notable because it includes the dust jacket of the record (Yes, although it may seem primitive to anyone who didn't grow up with this kind of recording technology, the dust jacket actually helped keep dust off the vinyl album which had to be played with a needle. It also helped prevent scratches to the vinyl which would affect the sound quality). Printed on the dust jacket are Spooky Party Hints. I don't remember putting together an actual Halloween party but I do remember something about us setting up a mad scientist's laboratory in the coal room in the basement. We put ketchup and mustard together in a bowl to resemble guts, and Mom made us some macaroni noodles that we put into a bowl for brains. We made a few more attempts at spookiness that I don't quite remember although I do remember playing this album for sound effects.
