After dinner we popped Creature from the Black Lagoon in the DVD player. What a bunch of fun. Dale, Mike, Julie, Regina, Charisse, and I all provided Mystery Science Theater-like commentary.
I love the old Universal Pictures monster movies and haven't seen this one in a few years

Watched Treehouse of Horror last night. Turned out it's the 600th episode. The best segment, to me at least, was the one where Sarah Silverman voiced Lisa's imaginary homicidal best friend who kills others she perceives as a threat to their friendship. It was the only segment where I actually laughed.

This huge lawn decoration went up October 1st.
It got blown over recently...
...but the neighbors had it back up by the next morning. Here's what it looks like at night:
Rather spooky if you ask me but also pretty cool. It's as tall as the whole first floor of the house!
Halloween Season 2016: First Pumpkin Pie of the Season
Dinner at Susan's last night to see John off to France. Her daughter Allie, son Nick, and friend Nancy were all there. Dale and I had a great time. Dessert was pumpkin pie topped off with some whipped cream which was particularly fluffy despite how thick it was.
